Bear with me here as this is a totally hypothetical question. I know RWD is the way the gods wanted cars to be and it's the best. But what if it wasn't? What if all of the cars we grew up loving were front wheel drive? What if all the Mustangs and Camaros and Supras and every Ferrari and Pagani etc etc was a FWD machine. Same engines and transmissions and bodies, just different driving wheels. Would we not like them the way we do now? And what if all of the Prius' and Camrys of the world were RWD? Would those be the cars Oppo lusted after the most? Or would gearheads say FWD is better? Do the cars we grew up dreaming about dictate what we think is best?
*I've always been a FWD car enthusiast. While the benefits of RWD are obvious, I've always felt that FWD just took a different set of skills to make work on a track but can be just as much fun to drive. This is just a question about how you'd all feel if the roles were reversed and the cars we love were different.

I thought most cars in the GTA series were RWD? Hell 5 even has a RWD Camry.

The world go into a state of depression because of the lack of power oversteer.

Oh there would still be oversteer, it would just come at the price of owning a Prius.

I know that almost every car in GTA IV was RWD but rockstar somehow managed to give every single car the driving characteristics of boats.

Well going by the alternate universe theory, thats the norm in another universe. I can't even be mad at this suggestion knowing there are people who love their civics more than many rwd cars so nope I would still love Ferrari's even if they are fwd. If you can master the understeer then you'll probably be just as fast maybe even faster than rwd cars

There would be oversteer, but it wouldn't be powerful and it would be sketchy as all hell.

I was pretty sure that these cars were RWD because of trickle down from motorsport. I can't imagine F1 working in FWD. Even so I don't think it would have changed my interest in cars. 10 year olds don't know the difference.
